Arsene Wenger could definitely learn a thing or two from Joe Montemurro, after the Arsenal Women manager delivered a passionate team-talk after last night’s Continental Tyres Cup victory.
Arsenal Women lifted the cup for the fifth time in their history with a narrow 1-0 victory over Manchester City Women thanks to Vivianne Miedema.
City were expected to remain in possession of all three of English women’s football’s most sought-after pieces of domestic silverware prior to kick-off.
However, Arsenal have been enjoying a spike in form since Montemurro’s arrival in November, with the players clearly inspired by the Australian’s team-talk after the final whistle:
"Now it's Arsenal. Now we're back!"

While Arsenal Women are enjoying a resurgence under Montemurro, the men are struggling this season under Wenger.
The Gunners sit sixth in the Premier League, were knocked out of the FA Cup by Nottingham Forest and were obliterated in the League Cup final by Pep Guardiola’s City.
Those results have of course made even the loyalist of Arsenal fans question whether Wenger is doing enough to motivate his players with AC Milan in town tonight for the second-leg of their Europa League tie.
