Manchester City have taken a 1-0 lead over Arsenal at the Emirates, thanks to a brilliant effort from Bernardo Silva.

Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to extend the Gunners’ torment, after they annihilated tonight’s hosts during Sunday’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

And while Arsene Wenger‘s team have made a much brighter start to tonight’s contest, it still only took City 15 minutes to score the opening goal.

Leroy Sane was the architect this time around, with the German winger going on a terrific run at the heart of the Arsenal defence.

He then had the vision to pick out team-mate Silva… who made no mistake as he curled the ball beyond a helpless Petr Cech:

Silva’s goal ruins what would have been Cech’s 200th clean sheet in the Premier League, however, to be realistic it never seemed likely to come this evening.

Especially with City firing on all cylinders and Arsenal shockingly short of confidence following their 3-0 defeat at the weekend.

It can only get better, right?
