Video: Brendan Rodgers Pays Brilliant Tribute to Scott Brown at Testimonial Dinner

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers paid a brilliant tribute to Scott Brown at the midfielder’s testimonial dinner last night, focusing his words on his captain’s quality when on the ball.

Brown, now 32, has been with the Hoops since the summer of 2007, after joining for a then Scottish record fee of £4.4 million, and has gone on to establish himself as one of the club’s all-time greatest skippers.

However, whilst Brown is often praised for his work ethic and aggression in big games, Rodgers has been keen to point out just how good he can be at passing and keeping the ball , referencing last season’s Champions League tie with Manchester City as an example:

Having guided Celtic to an ‘invincible’ treble last season, Brown will undoubtedly go down as a genuine club legend, but what do you make of Rodgers’ comments?

Is Brown as good as the Northern Irishman suggests? Is he underrated as a footballer?
