Video: Edinson Cavani Marks 100th Uruguay Cap with Slick Goal Against Wales

Edinson Cavani marked his 100th appearance for his country in some style this afternoon, after finishing off a slick move against Gareth Bale‘s Wales side.

The South Americans came face-to-face with the Welsh in the final of the China Cup earlier today, with Ryan Giggs looking to build on his impressive 6-0 win over the Chinese last week.

However, when you’re up against the likes of Cavani and Luis Suarez, it’s an entirely different ball game.

PSG striker Cavani skippered Uruguay for the match and he seemed intent on getting on the score-sheet, and his wish was granted just after the half-time break.

The goal was Cavani’s 42nd for his country but he won’t have had many easier than that:

Cavani’s finish was enough to seal the win for Uruguay, and the China Cup will be going back to South America with them – could it soon be joined by the World Cup? Stranger things have happened!

What do you think?
