Manchester United fans totally lost it after their shock Champions League exit at the hands of Sevilla.

Jose Mourinho’s men went into the game against the La Liga outfit after earning a 0-0 draw in Spain three weeks ago.

So they would have fancied their chances of getting the result they needed to advance to the quarter-finals of the competition.

Unfortunately for United fans, it didn’t turn out that way as Sevilla took a late 2-0 lead through a Wissam Ben Yedder double to force the home side into a very late rally that they were unable to make work.

Romelu Lukaku got a goal back and there were other chances before full-time to get back into it, but United just didn’t have enough quality to bounce back.

And supporters post-match had no doubt about who was to blame, with Mourinho taking the majority of stick for some questionable player selections:

That’s bordering on Arsenal Fan TV, isn’t it?

With that defeat, United now have just one competition left to get a trophy in and that’s the FA Cup.

They’re in the quarter-finals against Brighton at Old Trafford this weekend and will need to quickly bounce back from last night’s disappointment to get through that.

But a club the size of United will expect a lot more going forward from Mourinho and his team.
