
Marko Grujic scored a beauty as Cardiff beat Barnsley last night to keep the pressure on Wolves at the top of the Championship.
Neil Warnock’s team are now just three points behind league leaders Wolves after last night’s matches.
Of course, Wolves weren’t in action and have an opportunity to regain their six-point lead when they face Leeds at Elland Road tonight.
But it’s a big step in the right direction for the Welsh outfit – and they’ve got the quality of Liverpool loanee Grjuic to thank for a hard-fought victory last night.
They welcomed Barnsley to Cardiff City Stadium in fine form, having won four games on the bounce to extend their unbeaten run to six games.
And that’s now five on the bounce and seven unbeaten with the 2-1 victory, with Callum Paterson opening the scoring before Grjuic produced this beauty to make it 2-0:
That is quality from Grujic – and something Liverpool fans will be delighted to see with the hope that he returns to Anfield in the summer and gets a chance under Jurgen Klopp.
