Video: Morton SLO Adds to Calls For Scottish Cup Tie Away at Celtic to Be Called Off

Morton’s supporters liaison officer has added to the club’s calls for their Scottish Cup tie away at Celtic to be called off by sharing a video of how snow is still affecting some of their fans.

Craig Skinner took to Twitter earlier to post a video of what conditions are like in Houston, where many fans hail from, as snow continues to cause travel issues in Scotland.

A red weather warning was issued on Wednesday and the snow fallen has made it increasingly difficult for people to venture out away from home.

That led to Wednesday night’s Scottish Premiership clash between Celtic and Dundee at Parkhead to be postponed, as well as Motherwell’s clash with Aberdeen on the same night.

But Celtic’s pitch looks in fine condition now and the club, along with the SFA, have confirmed that the tie will go ahead as planned tomorrow at 12.30pm.

That isn’t something Morton are keen on though, with chief executive Warren Hawke this afternoon imploring the SFA to postpone the fixture as a result of the continued bad conditions.

Morton’s SLO backs Hawke in that – and his video shows that snow is going to cause an issue for many Morton fans who will be keen to make the game:

Another fan has also shared a video of the club’s Cappielow Stadium, which has been hit with the worst of the snow:

Unless there’s a drastic change in the weather, it looks likely that Morton will struggle to take as big an away support as they’d like through to Celtic Park.
