A discussion has been created about the Premier League having an end-of-season All-Star game after Romelu Lukaku suggesting the league should copy what the NBA do every year.
It’s never happened before in England’s top league, but would be an interesting introduction to the annual events around it.
And if they were to do it – who would make the teams this campaign?
Well, BT tasked Savage with picking the North XI, while Sutton did the South XI – and they’ve came up with some interesting selections.
In Savage’s North XI, it’s dominated by Manchester City, United and Liverpool players, with Kevin de Bruyne, David de Gea and Mohamed Salah among those included.
But so is Benjamin Mendy, who has spent the majority of this season out injured.
Meanwhile, in the South XI, Sutton has picked his whole side between Chelsea, Tottenham and Leicester.
Thibaut Courtois gets the nod in goal, while Eden Hazard, Harry Kane and Mousa Dembele are all also included. But there’s a spot for Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez out on the right too, while Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen misses out?
