The internationally renowned Russian show is one of the oldest and most prestigious ballet companies in the world, and Sir Rod was in attendance last night to hand out an award to best conductor.
However, when the Hoops fan arrived on stage, he simply had to mention Brendan Rodgers and his players’ triumph at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon – and even went on to name-check every goalscorer from the dramatic 3-2 victory:
I was so struck with pride and excitement for my team and supporters that I had to shout it from the rooftops… which happened to be the stage of the Bolshoi ballet where I was presenting the award for the best conductor. #CelticPride – Rod xxx pic.twitter.com/NmdeQMd1S3

Believe us, we’re absolutely not anything close to being experts on Russian ballet, but something tells us the crowd in attendance at the Bolshoi weren’t quite up-to-date with the latest goings on in the Scottish Premiership.
It doesn’t matter where in the world he is, or what he’s doing, Rod always wears his heart on his green and white sleeve.
