Video: Cristiano Ronaldo Sculptor Gets Another Shot… and this Time the Results Are Brilliant

When Emanuel Santos unveiled his sculpture of Cristiano Ronaldo last year, he couldn’t have imagined the level of abuse that his creation would receive from across the world… so what would he do if given another chance?

The original bust was heavily criticised for looking nothing like the Portugal international, with ex-Rangers striker Peter Lovenkrands even joking that the end-product looked more like him than Ronaldo.

Luckily, the guys over at Bleacher Report were willing to give Emanuel a second attempt though… and the results are terrific.

In a 10-minute video, Emanuel, who comes from the same town as the Real Madrid superstar, talks about how he and his family dealt with the amount of abuse he received for the original sculpture.

In fact, both Emanuel and his wife struggle to hold back the tears as they give their account of seeing the negative comments which dominated social media in the days after the unveiling.

So when Emanuel was offered another shot, it’s fair to say that he grasped the opportunity with both hands.

This second attempt will surely garner a better reaction… and it’ll probably please Ronaldo too:

A brilliant second effort, hats off!
