For the first time in a long time, the entire home section of the Emirates Stadium was united behind Arsene Wenger this afternoon, with Arsenal supporters putting their West Ham counterparts to the sword in brilliant fashion.
The Premier League clash in North London was the first time fans were given the opportunity to pay tribute to the Frenchman since he announced he was leaving the Gunners after a revolutionary 22-year spell in charge.
Of course, the Hammers were looking to spoil the party, and when Marko Arnautović scored to make it 1-1 in the 68th minute, it looked like they might just do that.

And as it looked like a point was heading back to East London, the West Ham fans repeatedly chanted: “Arsene Wenger, he left ’cause you’re s***!”
However, Arsenal soon roared back and scored three times in eight minutes to win 4-1, and after they did, the home support replied: “Arsene Wenger, he’s won more than you!”
Given Wenger has won 10 major trophies since joining Arsenal, and West Ham haven’t won half as much in their 118 year history, they are pretty much spot on.
Well played, lads.
