Brendan Rodgers has accused some in Scottish football of being envious of Scott Brown.
The Celtic manager was speaking at a press conference today ahead of his side’s Scottish Premiership clash with Dundee tomorrow night.
Brown is never far away from discussion at the moment, following the announcement of his testimonial against Republic of Ireland last week and then the shocking challenge he was on the receiving end of from Ross County’s Andrew Davies.
When the Hoops captain was brought up in the presser, Rodgers then accused some players, coaches and media of having Brown envy.
Per Clyde Superscoreboard:
Brendan Rodgers says Craig Gordon is likely to feature for Celtic against Dundee tomorrow night with Scott Bain ineligible.
He also claims there’s lots of ‘envy’ from players, managers and the media towards Scott Brown following Andrew Davies’ red card on Saturday. pic.twitter.com/BJGW4J1Q5y

Davies has received widespread condemnation for the tackle on Brown, which earned him a straight red card in the first half of Saturday’s game.
But it seems there are a few who felt Brown deserved it for his physical approach to playing the game.
The Hoops skipper got up and was able to play the rest of the game so there will be no worries bout his fitness going into tomorrow night’s game against Dundee at Celtic Park.
