Therefore there no guarantee that Arsenal will even make the competition’s show-piece, never mind have enough in the tank to dispatch of either Marseille or Red Bull Salzburg.

Rodgers knows he will have Champions League football at Celtic next season, as long as he can navigate through the pesky qualifiers.
