Celtic and Rangers to Follow Hearts and Hibs Example in Opening Joint Club Shop at Glasgow Airport

Celtic and Rangers are to follow the Hearts and Hibs example in opening up a joint club shop at Glasgow Airport.

Ann Budge spoke earlier this week about the potential for the capital clubs combining to open up a shop at Edinburgh Airport in the future.

That’s a controversial plan given the rivalry between the teams and their supporters.

But it’s not so controversial to put off both Glasgow clubs from doing something similar – and it’s believed both Celtic and Rangers are keen on exploring the idea of a combined club shop at Glasgow Airport.

Celtic currently have a shop there, but the deal on that is up later this year and that’s what has led to early discussions about the joint store.

The idea is sure to get some pushback from supporters, but the opportunity to sell half-and-half scarves to unknowing tourists could be too appealing to to both clubs and that should see the idea become a reality later this year.
