James Rodriguez appeared to rediscover his top form against Real Madrid tonight, and watching the Colombian in full-flow left a lot of Chelsea supporters wondering what might have been.
The attacking midfielder has been in great form for Bayern Munich this season, where he’s on-loan from Los Blancos, and played for the German champions against his parent club in tonight’s Champions League semi-final first-leg.

Midway through the first-half, Rodriguez showed his paymasters at Real exactly what they’ve been missing when he provided an absolutely delicious assist for the game’s opening goal.
Of course, when Rodriguez moved to Bayern last year, he was heavily linked with a string of Europe’s top clubs, including Chelsea, and his classy display tonight has Blues fans kicking themselves:
James Rodriguez is such a good player, really needed him at Chelsea this season ffs

James Rodriguez at Chelsea? Would he have fared well at Stamford Bridge under Antonio Conte?
