Chelsea fans are already casting their eyes towards next season, and some are hoping that Dutch international Marco van Ginkel is brought back to Stamford Bridge.
The centre-midfielder is actually still officially a Chelsea player, but injuries and loan spells means the 25-year-old has only made two Premier League appearances for the club since signing in 2013.
After disappointing loan spells with AC Milan and Stoke City, van Ginkel has found his true form at PSV Eindhoven this season, where he’s been given the captain’s armband and scored 14 goals in 28 appearances so far.
Van Ginkel has been absolutely crucial to the Dutch side this season, so much so that they’ve just clinched only their second Eredivise title in 20 years.
With the likes of Danny Drinkwater and Tiémoué Bakayoko struggling for form with the Blues, van Ginkel’s form hasn’t gone unnoticed by Chelsea’s suffering fans:

If we had a manager who could integrate RLC, Zouma, Van ginkel Hudson-odoi, Ampadu & Tammy Abraham next season we could add so much depth & quality without spending a penny, save the money on 2-3 big names & we’d be right back in the game

Van Ginkel really just captained PSV to win the Eridevise with 14 goals but he's not as good as Drinkwater or Bakayoko I'm afraid

Congratulations Marco van Ginkel on captaining his PSV side to the Eredivisie title.

Marco Vanginkel was named as the Dutch young talent of the year before Chelsea signed him and now he is winning his 2nd league title in 3 years & his first as a captain, mean while we are stuck with Bakayoko and Drinkwater.

Do you think van Ginkel could still be a key player for Chelsea going forward?
