Hull City striker Abel Hernandez could be on his way to Celtic this summer, if reports in Italy are to be believed.
The Uruguayan international has been at Hull since the summer of 2014, but before that he spent several years in Italian football, including a spell in Serie A with Palermo.
His contract with the English Championship club is running out this summer, and given the club’s struggles, and Hernandez’s injury-disrupted season, it looks unlikely that he’ll be staying in Humberside much longer.
And according to Italian website TuttoMercatoWeb, Brendan Rodgers’ side will battle it out with Bologna and Inter Milan for Hernandez’s signature in the close season, and a three-year deal to move to Glasgow is already on the table.
With doubts over Moussa Dembele’s future, Celtic could very well be in the market for a new striker come June, but would Hernandez fit the bill?
At 27, he doesn’t quite fit into the usual youthful targets the Hoops have gone after recently, but what do you think?
