Liverpool’s Mo Salah Voted Champions League Player of the Week

Liverpool‘s Mo Salah has been voted Champions League Player of the Week after his goal and assist in their 3-0 win over Manchester City.

The Egyptian winger actually only played 53 minutes as Jurgen Klopp’s men took full control of their Champions League quarter final tie.

After scoring their opening goal, he produced a brilliant cross for Sadio Mane to score, but then limped out of the game just after half-time with what looked like a groin injury.

Still, Salah was so good that he’s been voted Champions League Player of the Week – beating other top performers like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Thiago Alcantara:

Salah can just do no wrong right now – and everybody connected with Liverpool will be hoping that he can shrug off that injury to play a part in the Merseyside derby against Everton tomorrow before facing City in the second leg of their Champions League clash next week.
