Man Utd Fans Reckon Michael Oliver Will Hand the FA Cup to Chelsea

Michael Oliver has been appointed the referee for the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Chelsea next month – and United supporters are pretty livid about it.

Fresh from giving a controversial red card to Gigi Buffon in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, Oliver has been handed the biggest cup match in English football for the first time in his career, and will be the man in the middle come May 19 at Wembley.

But United fans aren’t too happy about it, given they have a pretty dismal record when Oliver has been in charge of previous matches.

All in all, Oliver has officiated 26 United matches in his career and, surprisingly, the Red Devils have won just 10 of those – and a lot of folk aren’t expecting No.11 to arrive next month:

He’s had a pretty hard couple of weeks, so does Michael Oliver deserve to be handed a match of this magnitude?

What do you think?
