Plenty of Rangers Fans Wish They’d Kept Danny Wilson

Rangers were held to another disappointing draw at the weekend against Motherwell, and now some of the club’s supporters are beginning to regret selling Danny Wilson in January.

Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Fir Park leaves the Gers now tied for second place in the Scottish Premiership table with Aberdeen, but the Dons currently have a game in-hand, and must now be considered favourites to finish closest to Celtic.

Whilst Rangers have undoubtedly improved their attacking options since the winter window, the jury remains out on the defenders signed and sold by the club – most notably Russell Martin and Bruno Alves.

The two experienced centre-backs were brought to Glasgow in the hope of providing some much needed defensive strength, but it really hasn’t worked out that way so far.

On top of that, youth-team product Danny Wilson was shipped out to American side Colorado Rapids – and some fans are wondering exactly why:

He might not have been the greatest player in the history of Scottish football, but would keeping Danny Wilson over Martin and Alves have made more sense?

What do you think?
