Rangers Post Tweet Promoting Puma’s Latest Green Boots…and Quickly Regret It

Rangers have posted a tweet promoting Puma’s latest green football boots – leading to an outpouring of abuse from their furious supporters.

The Gers have had their kits manufactured by Puma for several seasons now, but that deal could be coming to an end as the club’s owner Dave King looks at various possible new options for retail deals.

But if Puma were looking to stay in bed with Rangers, they’re perhaps going about things the entirely wrong way.

The club’s official Twitter feed posted images of the latest Puma ‘Future’ and Puma ‘One’ boots earlier today, but there was one glaring problem – the fact they’re both bright green.

Pitching boots to a fan base in the colour of your bitter rivals probably wasn’t the greatest idea:

What do you think of the reaction? Is it warranted, or a touch over the top? Is this something really to be concerned about?
