The mercurial striker was in his typically incredible form in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg at Anfield, scoring his 38th goal of the campaign after just 12 minutes from close-range.
He’s been the crucial figure in Jurgen Klopp’s system this season, but supporters’ hearts were in their mouths midway through the second-half when the 25-year-old dropped to the turf clutching his thigh.
It quickly became apparent that Salah couldn’t continue, and he was quickly subbed for Georginio Wijnaldum, and the entire incident has the red half of Liverpool praying to the high heavens that his substitution was nothing more than a precaution:
Mo Salah limps to the sideline and you could hear a pin drop at Anfield all of a sudden.

I’ll pray to Allah that Salah is okay and nothing serious and I’m not even religious.

Mo Salah injured and straight down the tunnel. Nothing we can do apart from pray he's ok and it's a smart precaution at 3-0.

All jokes aside I hope Salah’s injury is the worst possible scenario and he never plays again

Liverpool without Salah is like porn without sound

If Salah doesn’t return for 2-3 weeks, the Free Hit in GW35 might now look even more useless. #FPL

If Salah can’t recover – and is perhaps out for a prolonged period of time – how big a blow could it be for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp?
