Liverpool Fans Are Praying Mo Salah is OK After Injury Against Man City

Mo Salah limped off injured against Manchester City tonight – and Liverpool supporters are desperately hoping the Egyptian striker isn’t too badly hurt.

The mercurial striker was in his typically incredible form in the Champions League quarter-final first-leg at Anfield, scoring his 38th goal of the campaign after just 12 minutes from close-range.

He’s been the crucial figure in Jurgen Klopp’s system this season, but supporters’ hearts were in their mouths midway through the second-half when the 25-year-old dropped to the turf clutching his thigh.

It quickly became apparent that Salah couldn’t continue, and he was quickly subbed for Georginio Wijnaldum, and the entire incident has the red half of Liverpool praying to the high heavens that his substitution was nothing more than a precaution:

If Salah can’t recover – and is perhaps out for a prolonged period of time – how big a blow could it be for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp?
