Robertson has of course been a star performer for Jurgen Klopp‘s Liverpool this season, despite the Scotland international initially struggling to keep Alberto Moreno out of the team.
However, since making the left-back spot his own, Robertson has went on to make 20 appearances in the Premier League and three terrific showings in the club’s charge toward the Champions League semi-finals.
For those reasons alone, Robertson gets the nod from ex-Liverpool midfielder McMahon ahead of Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso… and Shreeves can’t see past the 24-year-old either:
Shreeves, Bellamy and McMahon go on to discuss the PFA Team of the Year in it’s entirety, with several players being replaced along the way.
However, has Robertson, a player who starred for Dundee United and Hull City before making the jump to Anfield, done enough this season and proved he’s the best left-back in England’s top flight?
