Video: Aubameyang’s Assist For Lacazette Goal Was Absolutely Delicious

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang turned from goalscorer to provider for Arsenal this afternoon as he laid on a brilliant assist for his team-mate Alexandre Lacazette.

Many Arsenal supporters have queried the wisdom of playing both strikers in the same starting line-up, but Aubameyang’s ability to play out on the left flank could be crucial in the season’s run-in.

During today’s Premier League clash at Newcastle, the Gabon international showed just how versatile he can be at his best, as his first-time cross landed perfectly in the path of the onrushing Lacazette, who simply couldn’t miss:

Signed for more than £50 million last summer, Lacazette has endured a pretty frustrating time in English football so far, but today’s strike was his 13th goal of the season in all competitions.

That’s not the worst return in the world, especially when you consider how much he’s been injured recently, and perhaps an unlikely partnership with Aubameyang could help the Frenchman settle in North London.

What do you think?
