Kenny Dalglish really loved Liverpool‘s win over Manchester City in the Champions League.

The Anfield legend was in the stadium last night as Jurgen Klopp’s men beat Pep Guardiola’s English Premier League leaders 3-0 in a convincing display.

It was a very impressive first half performance in particular, with Mo Salah opening the scoring early on before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sadio Mane added two more before half-time.

The fans matched the performance with a superb atmosphere in and outside the ground, despite unpleasant scenes involving the City team bus before the game.

And Dalglish was among that support – seen on TV at the full-time whistle looking absolutely delighted with the team:

That’s great to see – and shows just how much the club still matters to former players like Dalglish.

With the victory, Liverpool have a massive chance to go on and advance to the semi-finals now.

They’ll take the 3-0 lead to the Etihad next week knowing that if they avoid a catastrophic meltdown, they’ll make it into the last four of the competition.
