With Manchester United beating Spurs in yesterday’s first semi-final, the Blues knew the carrot of facing Jose Mourinho’s side in next month’s final was awaiting if they could get past relegation-threatened Southampton.
After a goalless and, to be honest, a pretty dull first-half, it looked like it could even be extra-time before we’d know the outcome of today’s clash.
But former Arsenal forward Giroud was in one of his creative moods in the second-half, and he decided to take things by the scruff of the neck:

That’s the 31-year-old’s fourth goal since moving from the Emirates in the January transfer window, but we’re willing to bet it won’t be his last in the club’s blue shirt.
