Video: Roma Commentator Carlo Zampa Lost the Plot After Kostas Manolas Winner

Roma commentator Carlo Zampa lost the plot after Kostas Manolas‘ winner knocked Barcelona out of the Champions League.

The Italian commentator regularly covers games for his beloved AS Roma and he would have no doubt been excited for the visit of Barca to the capital city last night despite the Spanish side’s 4-1 lead from the first leg.

But would he have expected Eusebio Di Francesco’s team to produce a remarkable 3-0 victory to turn the tie on its head and book them a place in the semi-finals? We don’t think so.

Yet that’s what happened, with goals from Edin Dzeko, Daniele de Rossi and Manolas winning the tie for the Serie A side.

Manolas’ goal was particularly special as it came just eight minutes from full-time and led to wild scenes among the home players and support – including Zampa:

How amazing is that? Pure passion for Zampa in one of Roma’s greatest ever European nights.

Now the Romans will await the winners of tonight’s semi-finals where Real Madrid play Juventus and Sevilla take on Bayern Munich.
