Roma‘s social media team always have their finger on the pulse… and tonight proved no exception as their Twitter account took a pop at Tottenham striker Harry Kane.

Kane has of course been getting some stick over the past 24 hours after he claimed Christian Eriksen’s goal against Stoke as his own, in a seemingly desperate attempt to keep up with Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.

And while you’d think Roma would have been too busy celebrating their sensational victory over Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-finals to be paying attention to the Kane controversy, you would be wrong.

Instead, the club posted this outstanding clip on their Twitter page, showing Kane’s head plastered on Francesco Totti’s body, after the Roma legend had scored against Lazio in 2015:

Some effort, that!

Roma were drawn against Liverpool in the semi-finals of the Champions League this afternoon.

And with Salah having played for the Giallorossi after his ill-fated spell at Chelsea, it’s possible that the Italian club was simply throwing it’s weight behind the Egyptian in the Golden Boot race with this video.
