Video: Scott Brown Says PFA Nomination Proves His Doubters Wrong

Scott Brown has been nominated for Scotland’s PFA Player of the Year Award today and the Celtic captain insists it proves a lot of critics were wrong to doubt him.

Back in the spring of 2016, Brown had just put in an underwhelming performance in the Scottish Cup semi-final, as the Hoops lost on penalties to arch-rivals Rangers, and it prompted a string of critics to claim it was the beginning of the end for Brown at the top level.

But the arrival of Brendan Rodgers that summer appears to have changed all that, with Brown outstanding this season and last, and currently on the brink of leading his club to an historic ‘double’ treble.

Along with Kris Boyd, John McGinn and James Forrest, Brown was on-hand today to accept his nomination, and he wasn’t shy in letting his enemies know that he’s far from finished yet:
