Scott Brown has warned Rangers to expect a ‘backlash’ from Celtic following their disappointing 2-1 defeat to Hibs.

The Hoops are on the verge of winning the Scottish Premiership title and can do that with a victory against their rivals at Celtic Park this weekend.

They could have secured seven-in-a-row already, with Saturday’s game against Hibs at Easter Road being their first opportunity.

But they were unable to do it, losing 2-1 in a game that Hibs had the better of for the majority.

Now they’ll get another chance to do it against Rangers this weekend – and Brown has warned Graeme Murty’s men that they can expect a ‘backlash’ from Celtic following that loss in Edinburgh.

Speaking to Sky Sports News yesterday, Brown said:

Celtic beat Rangers 4-0 in the Scottish Cup semi-final two weeks ago so will go into this game confident – but they can expect a backlash from their rivals too considering the performance and result on that day in Hampden.
