Virgil van Dijk throwing Raheem Sterling away was a big highlight from Liverpool‘s Champions League win over Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are safely through to the semi-finals of the competition following their resounding 5-1 aggregate victory over their English rivals.

They won 3-0 with a very impressive performance at Anfield last week and followed that up with a hard-fought 2-1 victory at the Etihad last night.

Liverpool managed to secure that second result despite going 1-0 down to a Gabriel Jesus goal early on.

But strikes from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino were enough to get the victory and send them into the last four, where they’ll be joined by Roma and the winners of Real Madrid v Juventus and Sevilla v Bayern Munich.

There were several highlights from last night’s victory, including the deft Salah finish to get Liverpool level.

But were any as good as van Dijk shrugging off Sterling after the two tangled in the second half?

Considering the feelings Liverpool fans have for Sterling, we reckon this will go down well with them.
