Wes Foderingham has revealed he has no plans to leave Rangers, amid speculation he was keen to seal a move down south this summer.
Reports earlier this week suggested that the Gers number one was set for a surprise departure, with Allan McGregor to complete an Ibrox return when his contract with Hull City comes to an end in a few months.
However, Foderingham has now taken it upon himself to respond directly to the transfer talk via his social media account.
The 26-year-old also offered fans a brief update on the shoulder injury which saw him miss last weekend’s win over Hearts and has ruled him out of this weekend’s clash with Celtic:
Foderingham arrived at Rangers in 2015, and despite a rocky start to his career under Mark Warburton, he’s since become one of the team’s star performers.
Where does Foderingham’s Tweet leave the debate surrounding who should be Rangers’ goalkeeper going forward?
Will McGregor still take the number one jersey when he arrives? Or will Foderingham have enough in the tank to keep the 36-year-old veteran away from the starting job?
