The Wolfe Tones have announced that they’ll be the half-time entertainment at Celtic Park next season.
But that’s surely an April Fool’s Day joke, isn’t it?
The Irish rebel music band are no doubt very popular with many of the Celtic supporters so it made sense for them to make the club the centre of their own joke today.
They posted about being offered to provide the half-time entertainment at home matches next season and said they were delighted to accept:
Delighted to have accepted an offer to provide home match, half time, entertainment at Celtic Park for the 2018-19 season. Dream come true!

But that has to be a wind-up, as some Celtic fans have suspected:
Come on lads……..up earlier than that

Although many Celtic supporters seem keen on the idea, there’s no doubt this is an April Fool’s wind-up from the Irish band and they won’t be providing the half-time entertainment at the Glasgow club.
It’s been a morning of April Fool’s jokes, with Rangers also being the subject of one from Red Bull, who cheekily offered to invest in the club going forward.
