Aberdeen have taken a ‘concomitant’ dig at Rangers with their latest season ticket renewal email.
The Dons are delighted right now after sealing second place in the Scottish Premiership table with a 1-0 win over Celtic at the weekend.
Rangers were hot on their heels going into the final day, knowing a win for them against Hibs coupled with a draw or defeat for Derek McInnes’ men at Celtic Park would see them get second.
But Aberdeen got a big result against the champions to make sure of their runners up spot – and the summer now looks a lot better for McInnes and his players.
The club are busy preparing for next season too, with the commercial team keen to get as many Dons fans renewing their season ticket as possible.
And their latest email is a funny way to go about doing that – as they’ve taken a dig at Rangers.
Back in December, Rangers released a statement on their website about McInnes’ decision to knock back their offer to become first team manager at Ibrox and that statement included a line about how ‘moving to a massive club like Rangers is a big step with concomitant risk’.
Now some Aberdeen fans are getting this subject on an email from the club:

Concomitant is defined as ‘naturally accompanying or associated’ – so it fits in the context Aberdeen are using it.
