Anthony Ralston Gets Rave Reviews For Performance in Play-Off Game

Anthony Ralston earned rave reviews despite Dundee United losing to Livingston in the first leg of their Premiership play-off semi-final.

The defender has been on loan at Tannadice since March in an attempt to get the first team games he wasn’t getting at Celtic.

And that’s what he has managed to do, appearing 13 times before tonight’s clash with Livingston.

As they finished third in the Championship table, United had to beat Dunfermline in the quarter-final first before taking on Livi, who finished second, for a spot in the final against the Premiership’s second-bottom side.

But they’re right up against it after losing 3-2 in a very entertaining match.

There won’t be many positives for Csaba Laszlo on a night where he also lost Willo Flood to a stupid red card, but Ralston’s performance was superb – and those watching with social media noticed:

That’ll be great for Celtic fans to see given big things will be expected of Ralston when he returns to Celtic in the summer.
