Billy McKay has continued his unwanted record after suffering another relegation.
The Ross County striker will be playing in the Championship next season following his side’s 1-1 draw with St Johnstone today.
They went into the bottom six final day knowing that they’d need to beat St Johnstone away and hope that Dundee managed to beat relegation rivals Partick Thistle at Dens Park.
But they were unable to get either of those outcomes, with St Johnstone scoring in injury time to hold them to a draw while Thistle beat Dundee 1-0 courtesy of a Kris Doolan goal.
For McKay, it’s a brutal end to a pretty turgid season in which he’s scored just three goals.
Now, he’s continued his unwanted relegation run which started with Wigan in 2015, continued with Dundee United in 2016, Inverness in 2017 and now County in 2018:
Four relegations in a row for Billy Mckay now (Wigan, Dundee Utd, ICTFC and Ross County). Unbelievable.

If teams are looking to stay in their division next season, they might want to stay away from McKay. Unfortunately for him.
He’ll now hope he can bang the goals in down in the Championship and fire the Staggies to an immediate return to the top flight.
