Charly Musonda has thrown future doubt on his Celtic career today by posing in the kit of his parent club Chelsea – a mere few days after deleting all Celtic-related content from his Instagram account.
The exciting attacking midfielder arrived in Glasgow on an 18-month loan deal back in the January transfer window amidst wild fanfare from supporters, many of whom believed they’d signed one of the most promising talents in British football.
But the young Belgian failed to break into Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI at Parkhead and has since headed back down south to Chelsea’s training ground.
Rodgers claims the 21-year-old has returned to Stamford Bridge to receive treatment on a shoulder injury, but his recent movements on social media suggest he’s unlikely to fulfil the remaining 12 months of his deal with Celtic.
After deleting anything related to the Hoops on his Instagram page, Musonda posted an image of himself looking absolutely delighted to be back in the Blues’ kit, as he posed alongside Germany international Antonio Rudiger, as you can see in the main image above.
We might be reading too much into things – but does Musonda seem happy to be a Celtic player to you?
What do you think?
