Everyone Reckons John Terry is Heading to Either Rangers or Derby County

Aston Villa have announced John Terry is leaving them this summer – and social media is convinced he’s heading to Ibrox – or perhaps Pride Park for a stint with Derby.

The battle-hardened centre-back is now 37, and had been expected to stay at Villa Park for one more year if Steve Bruce’s men had won promotion back to the Premier League.

However, the playoff final defeat to Fulham at the weekend means a third consecutive season in the second-tier and some serious cost-cutting at Aston Villa.

So, Terry will be looking for a new club, and given Frank Lampard is the odds-on favourite to take over as Derby manager this summer – and his former England vice captain Steven Gerrard is taking the reins in Govan – there’s a lot of people putting two and two together and coming up with four…twice:

Where do you think Terry will end up? Could he really spend a year playing with Rangers?
