Former Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam has poured cold water on Celtic‘s hopes of winning 10 consecutive league titles – even if they manage to hold onto manager Brendan Rodgers.
The Hoops created another slice of Scottish footballing history yesterday by becoming the first team in the modern era to win back-to-back domestic trebles after seeing off Motherwell 2-0 at Hampden in the Scottish Cup Final.
Their latest victory comes two weeks after Celtic mathematically sealed their seventh consecutive Premiership title against bitter rivals Rangers – and their supporters have their heart set on making it 10.
However, Stoke City play-maker Adam isn’t buying into it, as he showed on Twitter last night when asked about Brendan Rodgers leading his team to yet more record-breaking feats:
If Brendan Rodgers stays the 🔟 is a formality 👀 https://t.co/lzAfPEZgrn

No chance of 10 in a row.

With Adam having just been relegated to the English Championship with Stoke, perhaps he’s angling for a move back to Ibrox under his former Liverpool team-mate Steven Gerrard.
What do you think of his claims?
