Charly Musonda’s loan at Celtic will end this summer, according to goal.com’s Nizaar Kinsella.
The future of the Chelsea attacker has been in focus over the last few weeks due to his lack of playing time while on loan at the Hoops.
He only joined Brendan Rodgers’ squad on an 18-month loan in January, but he’s failed to make any sort of impact.
Musonda has played just eight times for Celtic, with the majority of his appearances coming off the bench.
And a social media post from his mum at the weekend suggested he’s returned to Chelsea permanently after his short stay in Glasgow.
Rodgers denied the loan had ended at the weekend, but everything else points to it being cut short in the summer – and this report from Kinsella – goal.com’s Chelsea correspondent – backs that up.
Apparently Musonda will return to Stamford Bridge in the summer before being loaned out elsewhere to get the first team football he needs.
By then, we should know why it didn’t work out for the talented Belgian at Celtic Park.
