With David de Gea between the sticks at Old Trafford, there isn’t any need for United to be seeking out a new first-choice shot-stopper anytime soon, but it seems the Red Devils are in the market for a new understudy, with Sergio Romero set to head for pastures new this summer.
According to the Sun, 31-year-old Hart is being seriously considered as a candidate, if bitter rivals Man City will do business for their rejected keeper, with Gordon next on the list.
Gordon is contracted to Celtic until 2020 and pulled off several outstanding saves as the Hoops romped to a second-successive domestic treble last season.
The Scotland international has been previously linked with a move to Chelsea, which he eventually turned down, but could the chance to play second-fiddle to David de Gea be tempting to the former Hearts stopper?
What do you think?
