Jurgen Klopp has jokingly admitted that he’d be interested in signing Ousmane Dembele if he was available.
The Liverpool manager spoke to the media this afternoon following his side’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the English Premier League.
He would have been disappointed with that result, but didn’t show it too much as he spoke to the press afterwards.
There was some focus on the game and the defeat – which puts the pressure on them to secure a top four place in the final two matches of the season – but there was also attention on the Champions League final against Real Madrid later this month.
One thing he was asked about were transfers – and specifically Barcelona winger Dembele.
And he admitted that he’d be interested in signing the Frenchman if he were available. Although it sounds more like sarcasm than anything else:
Klopp asked about Nabil Fekir.
"During the game, we agreed a deal?! I would be surprised about that to be honest. No comment."
And Ousmane Dembele
"Oooh, is he on the market? Now i am interested! I never comment on transfer rumours." #LFC

We doubt Dembele would be available too considering he only just joined Barcelona in a £135.5million summer move.
If he was available, there’s no doubt the former Borussia Dortmund attacker would appeal to Klopp – but he probably isn’t so that should put this link to bed.
