Luis Suarez Sends Best Wishes to Steven Gerrard After He Takes Rangers Job

Luis Suarez sent his best wishes to Steven Gerrard after his former Liverpool teammate was named the new Rangers manager.

The Anfield legend will take over the club on June 1st, signing a four-year deal yesterday and being paraded to thousands of fans at Ibrox afterwards.

There’s considerable excitement around Glasgow and Scottish football with Gerrard’s appointment and the headlines it’s grabbed outside the country can only be good for the game.

So is Suarez speaking about Gerrard on social media.

The pair spent four seasons together at Anfield, striking up a bond both on and off the pitch before the Uruguayan departed for Barcelona.

Gerrard will surely be delighted to see Suarez wishing him well:

It can’t be a bad thing for Rangers that Suarez isn’t the only one commenting on Gerrard to the club – he’s been joined by Fernando Torres, John Terry, Xabi Alonso, Alan Shearer and Javier Mascherano among others in wishing him well.
