Manchester United’s New 1968 European Cup Anniversary Shirt is an Absolute Screamer

Manchester United are preparing to release a brilliant new anniversary shirt to commemorate the 50th anniversary of their first European Cup triumph – and we reckon fans are going to absolutely love it.

United followed up Celtic’s triumph in 1967 by winning the big-eared trophy a year later against Benfica, and became the first-ever English side to win the European Cup in the process.

The Red Devils wore their blue away kit on that fateful night at Wembley and Adidas have come up with a brilliant modern take on the iconic jersey.

Modelled by Spanish midfielder Juan Mata, the German manufacturers have revealed the new special edition collector’s item, complete with United’s old fashioned classic crest.

It remains to be seen when exactly the shirt will go on sale, or if United will ever actually wear the shirt in competitive action, but we reckon this’ll be extremely popular with supporters.

But what do you think?
