Manchester United’s New Third Kit Made From Ocean Plastic Recycled by Adidas

Manchester United‘s new third kit has been leaked online and it turns out the striking new design has one very original new feature.

We told you previously how the club’s new away kit is set to follow in the footsteps of Scotland and be an electric pink, in tribute to the Manchester Evening News’s weekly ‘Football Pink’ feature, and we’ve also informed you about how the reliable kit website Footy Headlines has reported the away shirt for the 2018/19 campaign will be a dark navy blue, with gold trim and accents.

Well, as you can see in the main image above, full images of the fresh new design has been doing the rounds on social media, and, according to the Sun, kit manufacturers Adidas have started producing products made with Parley – recycled plastic taken from the oceans – and United’s new jersey is set to be the most high-profile item so far.

On top of the material it’s made from, in an attempt to convey the environmental message to supporters worldwide, the message “For the oceans” is inscribed into the inside of the collar:

What do you think of the kit? Would you buy it?
