Newly-Promoted Serie A Side Parma Reportedly In For Liam Henderson

Newly-promoted Serie A side Parma are reportedly interested in signing Liam Henderson.

The Scottish midfielder has only been in Italy since January after moving from Celtic to Serie B outfit Bari, but he’s apparently wasted no time in impressing.

He’s made 18 appearances in Italy so far, scoring twice, but picking up five yellow cards and a red.

And now stories today say that has been enough to impress Parma, who want to make him a £1million summer signing.

According to thescottishsun.co.uk, the newly-promoted Serie A side want Henderson as they look to strengthen their squad for a return to the top flight.

If the deal was to go through he would be the first Scot to play in Serie A since Graeme Souness did it with Sampdoria back in 1986.

But Henderson won’t just be relying on Parma following up their interest as Bari are currently in the promotion play-offs, playing for a spot in the top flight.
