Rangers Fans Are Very Excited About £2.7Million Signing of Martin Skrtel

Rangers fans are very excited about their reported £2.7million signing of Martin Skrtel.

The Ibrox club are believed to be close to signing the Slovakian defender, according to‘s Andy Devlin.

Given Devlin’s accurate reporting of recent events at the Govan club, supporters are allowing themselves to believe the rumour.

And that makes for an excited Rangers faithful, believing that Skrtel is the man to sort their defensive problems once and for all.

They’ve had to put up with some poor defenders, including Russell Martin most recently, but the Fenerbahce defender doesn’t look like someone who will struggle in Scotland.

Now fans are buzzing:

At 33, Skrtel will be expected to immediately bring results to Rangers and it’s very unlikely they’ll be able to make any profit on him if he was to move on in the future.

But, that won’t bother many at Ibrox considering they need results right now in order to stop Celtic in their pursuit of a historic 10-in-a-row.

Brendan Rodgers’ men wrapped up seven on the bounce this season and you’d back them to add to that based on the current quality of the teams.
