Rangers Winger Dalcio Confirms He’s Left the Club

On-loan winger Dalcio has confirmed his Rangers career is over tonight after posting a bittersweet message to his Instagram followers.

The 21-year-old midfielder arrived last summer as one of Pedro Caixinha’s first signings, and signed a one-year loan deal to join from parent club Benfica, but it wasn’t too long before things started to go awry.

Dalcio failed to break into the Gers first-team under Caixinha, and he stood even less of a chance when his compatriot was sacked in October, with Graeme Murty selecting him only once in his spell as interim boss for a match in the Florida Cup.

However, whilst his time in Glasgow hasn’t been the least bit successful, it seems he rather enjoyed his time at Ibrox, with his caption on his latest Instagram post reading: “You don’t have to talk too much, the picture says it’s for you. It was a pleasure.”

In the end, Dalcio played just once in the Scottish Premiership, during a 4-1 win over Hamilton, and his only start came in the infamous Europa League defeat to Luxembourg minnows Progrès Niederkorn.
