Real Madrid Fans Brand Rafa Nadal ‘Traitor’ After He’s Spotted Cheering on Ateltico

Rafa Nadal was spotted cheering on Ateltico Madrid in tonight’s Europa League clash with Arsenal, and his appearance hasn’t gone down well with supporters of their arch-rivals Real Madrid.

The tennis superstar is fresh from winning the Barcelona Open just last week, a victory which ensured he’ll hang on to the sport’s world no.1 spot for a little longer, and it seems the 31-year-old was keen to take his mind off little yellow furry balls for one night.

Nadal was spotted sitting in the posh seats inside Ateltico’s plush Wanda Metropolitano stadium as Diego Simeone’s men reached the Europa League final, and he was brazenly sporting a red and white flag draped around his neck.

But, wait, isn’t Nadal a lifelong Real Madrid supporter?

He’s been vocal of his support for Real throughout his career and is regularly spotted cheering on Cristiano Ronaldo and co at the Bernabeu, so tonight’s scenes have left plenty of fans rather puzzled:

What do you make of Nadal’s actions?
