Two Manchester City fans held up a classy ‘get well Fergie’ banner before their team lifted the English Premier League trophy today.
The celebrations are well underway at the Etihad following their 0-0 draw with Huddersfield this afternoon.
Vincent Kompany, Pep Guardiola and the City team finally got their hands on the trophy weeks after clinching it thanks to a Manchester United defeat at the hands of West Brom.
But, before they lifted it, some fans got on the pitch at the full-time whistle in an effort to join in the celebrations.
And that provided two supporters with the opportunity of unveiling a banner in support of Sir Alex Ferguson following the news he’s in hospital after receiving emergency surgery on a brain haemorrhage.
That news broke last night and the football world has rallied to show its support for the legendary former Manchester United manager.
This banner shows those well wishes are shared by City supporters too:
A touch of class from Man City.
Get well soon, Fergie ❤️🙏 pic.twitter.com/a50ySDtGHa

Well done to those two supporters and the rest on the pitch who respected the banner.
It’s hoped by everyone that we get good news on Fergie’s condition soon.
